Developer Note: this is a 2011 Java applet rebuilt for the browser. Applets stopped running in every major browser years ago, so the original game logic was ported to HTML5 canvas — same table, same deck, same hand-drawn buttons. Three rule bugs in the original were fixed along the way (the dealer never drew a third card, ace totals were read off the wrong hand, and ties lost instead of pushing).
